The idea is that it will show you four melodies and you'll be able to select which one sounds best and it will train the melody down from completely randomness to very select system. But once it's trained, it will make quite a lot of melodies, each of which will have specific characteristics of the one you have trained it to create. In the end, it will output a file that you can save to your local computer that you can re-input to the site and continue to create melodies with the training you have already done. Since it's a web thing, it could also allow a community of people to work on one song. Each person would work on the melody, giving more and more information to get better output. Since it's automated and it knows what to do, it could generate hours of non-repetative music. Imagine if I just were to increase the time element from 4.5 seconds to 4.5 hours, it would go nuts and spit out 4.5 hours of music.
What I like about it is that it is simple, fast, builds upon the work I've done for the last year in music, and very extensible. The framework is very well written such that I can write a few very simple lines of code to make a serious change.
