* Boudica, Queen of the Iceni, leads a Celtic revolt in Britain.

She is defeated in the Battle of Watling Street by a Roman wedge formation.

According to the First Century Roman historian Tacitus, she died by poisoning herself so she would not be enslaved by the Roman governor, Suetonius Paulinus.

Cassius Dio, on the other hand, tells an alternative version of Boudica's death, simply saying that she " fell sick and died.
