The " Schlössli " ( small Castle ), Rore Tower and the upper gate tower have remained nearly unchanged since the 13th century.

The " Schlössli " is the oldest building in the city.

It was already founded at the time of the establishment of the city shortly after 1200 ; the exact date is not known.

City hall was built around Rore Tower in 1515.
