In the Postclassic, Structures A1 and A5 were solely used for depositing the dead.

By the beginning of the eleventh century, the site of Altun Ha was completely abandoned.

During the Late Postclassic after A. D. 1225 however, there was a renewed limited occupation at Altun Ha which lasted probably until the fifteenth century.
