The paraboloidal dishes that are used for radio communication with geosynchronous satellites often have to move so as to follow the satellite's daily movement around its analemma.
The mechanisms that drive them must therefore be programmed with the parameters of the analemma.
Exceptions are dishes that are used with ( approximately ) geostationary satellites, since these satellites appear to move so little that a fixed dish can function adequately at all times.
