Various locations, including the parsonage, were considered.
The project never materialised and Anne chose to return to Thorp Green.
She came home on the death of her aunt in early November 1842, while her sisters were in Brussels.
Elizabeth Branwell left a £ 350 legacy for each of her nieces.
