“ Todessehnsucht ” was produced by Alexander Krull and Atrocity.
Since that time Alexander Krull works as a producer for Atrocity and other bands, too.
Atrocity surprised the critics by integrating classical elements into their music, including four opera singers and a German album title.
In the USA Roadrunner Records changed the German title and released the album under the name " Longing for Death ".
The bombastic sound aroused cries of “ Wagnerian ” in the press and won Atrocity the reputation of being a band “ with extremely complex songwriting ideas .” Atrocity went on tour together with Deicide and Gorefest.
On this tour the bands got bomb threats by radical Christians and extreme animal rights groups.
One bomb blow off in Stockholm and one bomb was defused by the police in Manchester.
