A Southern Railway West Country class steam locomotive, built in 1946 at Brighton Works as no.
21C123, bore the name of the Vale.
However, she currently carries the more unusual spelling " Blackmoor Vale ", as she did when built.
She is currently based at the Bluebell Railway in Sussex, where she is stored at awaiting a boiler overhaul.
