The Endeavor Fire Company was organized in 1795 and was one of the four companies in the Burlington Fire Department when it was organized almost a century later.

Endeavor was the first permanent fire fighting organization in Burlington and remains one of the oldest fire companies under its original name in the state.

By 1882, the Company had relocated to their present building, which was erected in 1852 as a Market House.
