The single peaked one step behind Debby Boone's mega-hit " You Light Up My Life " ( which became the biggest hit of the entire decade ) from 22 October to 5 November 1977 and received Grammy nominations for Song Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance Female.

Also in 1977, Simon co-produced Libby Titus's album Libby Titus and sang backup on two songs: " Can This Be Our Love Affair?

" and " Darkness ' Til Dawn ".
