The Swedish progressive extreme metal band Opeth released two concept albums in the late 90s.

In 1998 they released My Arms, Your Hearse, telling the story of a man who has died and become a ghost.

Their fourth album Still Life told the story of an exiled man who has come back to his home town to find the woman he loves.
