Edge and Orton met in a match at May's Over the Limit pay-per-view, with the match resulting in a double countout.

At Fatal 4-Way, Edge participated in a fatal four-way match that included Orton, Sheamus, and John Cena for the WWE Championship, though Edge failed to win the title.
