Over the past two decades, the TU / e has increasingly developed commercial interests and off-campus ties.

These include commercial agreements and contracts directly between the university and external companies, but also interests in spinoff companies.

In order to manage these kinds of contractual obligations the university started the TU / e Holding B. V. in 1997.

The Holding is a limited company, dedicated to the commercial exploitation of scientific knowledge.
