Since its acquisition of Verant in late 1999, SOE develops, runs, and distributes EverQuest.
EverQuest's development is ongoing, and the 18th expansion, Veil of Alaris, was released on November 15, 2011.
Additional subscription options of EverQuest, free-to-play Bronze Level, and a reduced-cost Silver Level, were made available in March 2012.
