Announced at the Fables Panel at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con, Fables: Werewolves of the Heartland is an original graphic novel written by Willingham with art by Craig Hamilton, and Jim Fern.

Bigby Wolf sets out on a quest across the US to find a new location for Fabletown.

It will be initially released in hardcover on November 2012.
