In June of 2012, Alex Schattner founded a blog featuring “ Modern American Folktales .” With this blog, Mr. Schattner is creating a new anthology of stories that use traditional folk and fairy tale devices to convey moral messages for our time.

His hope is that these stories will inspire people now and in the future to create their own iterations, interpretations, and illustrations.
