Saudi Arabia and Syria are both members of the Arab League.
Relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia have become severed due to Saudi Arabia's support for the rebels and their support for the removal of Bashar al-Assad from power.
The Saudi monarchy certainly hopes that a new government will emerge and that any government which emerges afterward will be more appeasing to Saudi interests.
But, they also are working to ensure the transitional process does not plunge the region into turmoil.
Saudi Arabia has also closed its embassy in Syria.
