Hanford has 15 Elementary schools, three junior high schools, 4 high schools with a total of 8, 464 k-8 students and 3, 522 high school age children.

The United States Census of 2000 reported that 74. 5 % of Hanford residents aged 25 and over were high school graduates and 14. 4 % had bachelor's degrees or higher.

In addition a brand new Elementary school and community college are under construction and are planned to be add to serve Hanford future growth of students.
