The ten-days war in Slovenia in June 1991 was short and with few casualties.
However, the war in Croatia in the latter half of 1991 brought many casualties and much damage.
As the war eventually subsided in Croatia, the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina ( BiH ) started in early 1992.
Peace only came in 1995 after such events as the Srebrenica massacre, Operation Storm and the Dayton Agreement, which provided for a temporary solution, but nothing was permanently resolved.
