In November 1978 the group recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden.
The resulting album, In Through the Out Door, exhibited sonic experimentation that again drew mixed reactions from critics.
Nevertheless, the album reached number one in the UK and the US in just its second week on the Billboard album chart.
With this album's release, Led Zeppelin's entire catalogue returned to the Billboard Top 200 in the weeks of 27 October and 3 November 1979.
