Sacagawea, sometimes called Sakajawea or Sakagawea ( c. 1788 – December 20, 1812 ), was an indigenous woman who accompanied her husband Toussaint Charbonneau on the expedition to the Pacific Ocean.
Her son Jean Baptiste Charbonneau was born in 1805 with the help of the expedition.
