If a goal is scored by a player on the defending team, it is treated as if the defending player played the ball over the back line.

If the ball was played over the back line unintentionally, or off the goalkeeper, a long corner is awarded to the opposing team.

If the ball was played over the back line deliberately, then a penalty corner is awarded to the opposing team.
