In the Old Testament, patriarchs have a exceptional relation to God.

Abraham is even seen as father of the faith ( Gen15, 5 Rom 4 Hebr 11, 8 ) In the Litany of Loreto, God is not only the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but also the God of Mary.

Only Mary had the complete faith for which she was considered blessed ( Luke 1, 45 ) With the title Queen of Patriarchs, the Catholic Church states the continued relevance and position of the Patriarchs of the Old Testament.
