On 25 March 2006, after a public announcement made weeks earlier, the FARC-EP released two captured policemen at La Dorada, Putumayo.
The release took place some southwest of Bogotá, near the Ecuadorean border.
The Red Cross said the two were released in good health.
Military operations in the area and bad weather had prevented the release from occurring one week earlier.
