In Germany showing the Roman salute is prohibited.

Even rendering similar salutes, for example raising the left instead of the right hand, or raising only three fingers, are put under prosecution.

The punishment derives from § 86a of the German Criminal Code and can be up to three years of prison or a fine ( in minor cases ).
