Rand was a great admirer of Wright's architecture, and she asked that Wright design the sets for the movie based on the novel.
However, the price he asked for doing so exceeded the studio's budget.
She also commissioned Wright to create a summer home for her.
Wright's design featured, appropriately, a large fountain, but it was never built.
Wright himself wrote to Rand highly praising the novel, and, later, Rand and her husband also visited Taliesin at Wright's invitation.
