David has begun to enjoy life in his new, young body.
Lestat returns to New Orleans, reunites with Louis, and begins to renovate his old house in the French Quarter.
Above all, Lestat claims that he has finally come to accept his vampiric nature.
However, Lestat then warns readers not to continue if they are happy with this ending.
