Suburban trains connect Buenos Aires city with the Greater Buenos Aires area, ( see: Buenos Aires commuter rail network ).

Every weekday, more than 1. 3 million people commute to the Argentine capital for work and other business.

These suburban trains work between 4 AM and 1 AM.

Many of the lines are electric, several are diesel powered, while some of these are currently being converted to electric.

Trenes de Buenos Aires, UGOFE, Ferrovías and Metrovías are some of the private companies which provide suburban passenger services in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.
