Wakita Warriors football was a football powerhouse all throughout the 1980s to the early 2000s.

Between 1988 and 1993, they won 70 straight games in a row.

The Warriors won championship games in 1962, 1969, 1974, 1982, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004.

However, since 2008, Wakita High hasn't supported enough students to hold a football team.
