Originally known as The Hi-Fi's, the group changed its name to The 5th Dimension in late 1966 and was best-known during the late 1960s and early 1970s for popularizing the hits " Up, Up and Away ", " Stoned Soul Picnic ", " Aquarius / Let the Sunshine In ", " Wedding Bell Blues ", " One Less Bell to Answer ", "( Last Night ) I Didn't Get to Sleep at All ", and The Magic Garden LP.

Her biggest hits include " Up Where We Belong " ( a duet with Joe Cocker from the 1982 film, An Officer and a Gentleman ) and "( I've Had ) The Time of My Life " ( a duet with Bill Medley from the 1987 film, Dirty Dancing ).

The album was preceded by the single "( Reach Up For The ) Sunrise ", their first UK Top 10 single in a decade.

Their most well known songs include the disco hits " That's the Way ( I Like It )", "( Shake, Shake, Shake ) Shake Your Booty ", " I'm Your Boogie Man ", " Keep It Comin ' Love ", " Get Down Tonight ", " Give It Up ", and " Please Don't Go ".

She recorded "( Hey You ) Free Up Your Mind " for the film Pokémon: The First Movie.

The students also sing songs in unison including " Sweet Caroline " and "( Build Me Up ) Buttercup " The University of Wisconsin Marching Band performs its " Fifth Quarter " after every game.

He had a hit featuring on the Wilton Felder single, "( No Matter How High I Get ) I'll Still Be Looking Up to You ".

Further success was to follow, and they released two disco-styled albums on Ariola ( New Dimensions in 1978, and 3D in 1979 ) which delivered four UK Top 20 hits between them: " Givin ' Up Givin ' In ", " Woman In Love "( originally recorded by Twiggy in 1977 ), " The Runner " and " My Simple Heart ".

This gimmick was used for the opening of the hit Haley single's " See You Later Alligator ", "( You Hit the Wrong Note ) Billy Goat " and " Rip It Up ".

Vicki Young recorded a different song with the same title, "( I'm ) All Shook Up ", on Capitol Records with Big Dave and His Orchestra, written by Bill Bellman and Hal Blaine in 1956.

The repertoire consisted of material from all four of The Band's studio albums up to that point, which were framed on the album by covers of the 1964 Motown hit single " Baby Don't You Do It " by Marvin Gaye, and the b-side "( I Don't Want to Hang Up ) My Rock and Roll Shoes " to the final single by Chuck Willis in 1958, " What Am I Living For.

Their debut album, Move to Move ( 1989 ), produced the single " I Beg Your Pardon ", which sampled Lynn Anderson's 1971 hit "( I Never Promised You A ) Rose Garden ", Silver Convention's 1976 hit " Get Up And Boogie ( That's Right )", Spagna's 1987 hit " Call Me ", as well as the opening bars from the theme music from The Magnificent Seven ( which was also well known as the theme to a commercial for Marlboro cigarettes in the 1960s ).

" Straight Up " was the third single released from her debut album Forever Your Girl, after " Knocked Out " and "( It's Just ) The Way That You Love Me ".

The label decided to abandon "( It's Just ) The Way That You Love Me " and refocus its attention on " Straight Up ".

After his stint in prison during the late 1980s, Brown returned with the album, Love Overdue, in 1991, which included the single, "( So Tired Of Standing Still We Got To ) Move On ", which peaked at # 48 on the R & B chart.

On August 7, 2008, he played his first post-rehab electric show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY debuting: " Alaska "( electric version ; the song was debuted acoustic at Rothbury ), " Peggy ", " Gone ", " Backwards Down the Number Line " ( electric version ; the song was debuted acoustic at Rothbury ), " Valentine ", " Greyhound Rising ", and " Light ".

On 26 July the first single from the new album, "( It's Not War ) Just the End of Love ", was played on the breakfast shows of BBC Radio 2, BBC 6Music, XFm and Absolute Radio.

His songs included " The Alcoholic Blues ", "( I'll Be With You ) In Apple Blossom Time ", " Chili Bean ", " Dapper Dan ", " Honey Boy ", " I May Be Gone for a Long, Long Time ", " I'm Glad I'm Married ", " I'm the Lonesomest Gal in Town ", " The Moon Has His Eye On You ", " My Cutie's Due at Two-to-Two ", " My Little Girl ", " Oh By Jingo!

On June 11, Tex Ritter recorded "( I Got Spurs That ) Jingle Jangle Jingle " and " Goodbye My Little Cherokee " at his first Capitol recording session.

Two years later, however, he came out of retirement and in 1973 recorded several albums, scoring a Top 40 hit with "( Theme From ) New York, New York " in 1980.

He followed up with four songs that made it into the Top 20 in 1958, including " It's Time to Cry ", which made # 4 and "( All Of a Sudden ) My Heart Sings ", which reached # 15, making him, at 17, one of the biggest teen idols of the time.

The two would record two more duets that made it into the Top 10, " One Man Woman / One Woman Man " (# 7 ) and " I Don't Like to Sleep Alone " (# 8 ), and the # 15 duet "( I Believe ) There's Nothing Stronger Than Our Love ".

Their debut single "( We Don't Need This ) Fascist Groove Thang " attracted some attention and, due to its overtly left-wing political lyrics, was banned by BBC Radio 1 DJ Mike Read ( who is a staunch supporter of the Conservative Party ), and neither this nor any other of the four singles taken from the band's debut album Penthouse and Pavement managed to reach the Top 40 in the UK Singles Chart.

The Impressions reached the height of their popularity in the mid-to-late -' 60s with a string of Mayfield compositions that included " Keep on Pushing ," " People Get Ready ", " It's All Right " ( Top 10 ), the uptempo " Talking about My Baby "( Top 20 ), " Woman's Got Soul ", " Choice of Colors ,"( Top 20 ), " Fool For You ," " This is My Country " and " Check Out Your Mind.

EMI re-issued the single, "( I'm ) Stranded " in February and it reached the Kent Music Report Top 100 Singles Chart.

In May 2001, Australasian Performing Right Association ( APRA ) celebrated its 75th anniversary and named "( I'm ) Stranded " in its Top 30 Australian songs of all time.

Most popular in the 1970s and 1980s, The Fatback Band is most known for their Top Ten R & B hits, "( Do The ) Spanish Hustle ", " I Like Girls ", " Gotta Get My Hands on Some ( Money )", and " Backstrokin '".

The singles proved popular in dance clubs, but did not do as well on R & B chart until the spring of 1976 when "( Do The ) Spanish Hustle " came close to the Top Ten.

Whilst American pop success proved elusive, the group made regular appearances in the UK Singles Chart, including the Top Ten twice with "( Do The ) Spanish Hustle " and " I Found Lovin '".

The album produced several hit singles, including his first Top 5 single, " Every Light in the House ", his first Number One in "( This Ain't ) No Thinkin ' Thing ", and another Top 5 hit in " I Left Something Turned on at Home ".

"( How Does It Feel ) To Be On Top Of The World " reached number 9 in the UK Singles Chart.

Eight consecutive singles reached the Top 10 in the early 1990s, including " Down to My Last Teardrop ," "( Without You ) What Do I Do With Me " and " Two Sparrows in a Hurricane.

Rare Earth had a number of Top 40 hits in the 1970-1971 period, including covers of The Temptations ' "( I Know ) I'm Losing You " ( which was used in the documentary video It's Time ) and " Get Ready ".

Its lead single, "( Between a ) Rock and a Hard Place ", ( CA 54, UK 66, U. S. 77 ) failed to reach the Top 40.

They technically entered the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart in 1992, with a heavily reworked version of Bryan Adams ' song "( Everything I Do ) I Do It for You ", taken from an NME tribute album in aid of the charity, the Spastics Society.

where they were instantly rewarded with a No. 1, "( If Paradise Is ) Half as Nice " in early 1969, followed by another Top 5 entry with the Roy Wood composition, " Hello Susie ".
