Colin Leslie McCool ( 9 December 1916 – 5 April 1986 ) was an Australian cricketer who played in 14 Tests from 1946 to 1950.

From 1910 to 1946, it was home to the St. Matthews Produce Exchange, which was once the second-largest potato shipper in the country.

Despite playing regularly for the national side, Matthews put in 38 games for Stoke in 1938 – 39, helping them to a seventh place finish – there would not be another full season of Football League action until 1946.
