Mason is the daughter of Ben Mason, an Aboriginal Christian pastor involved in the founding of the Aboriginal Evangelical Fellowship, she was born in Subiaco, Western Australia.

Catholic and Baptist churches can be found in Yarra Road and an Aboriginal Evangelical Church in Adina Avenue, although it was disused as of 2009.

Many towns or suburbs of Australia have also been influenced or named after Aboriginal words.

One source asserts that the term entered the language in 1827, adapted from an extinct Aboriginal language of New South Wales, Australia, but mentions a variant, wo-mur-rang, which it dates from 1798.

The origin of the word bunyip has been traced to the Wemba-Wemba or Wergaia language of Aboriginal people of South-Eastern Australia.

However, the bunyip appears to have formed part of traditional Aboriginal beliefs and stories throughout Australia, although its name varied according to tribal nomenclature.

In his 2001 book, writer Robert Holden identified at least nine regional variations for the creature known as the bunyip across Aboriginal Australia.

The other judges were John Toohey QC, a former Justice of the High Court of Australia who had worked on Aboriginal issues ( he replaced New Zealander Sir Edward Somers QC, who retired from the Inquiry in 2000 for personal reasons ), and Mr Justice William Hoyt QC, former Chief Justice of New Brunswick and a member of the Canadian Judicial Council.

The didgeridoo was introduced to the Kimberlies almost a century ago but it is only in the last decade that Aboriginal men have shown adverse reactions to women playing the instrument and prohibitions are especially evident in the South East of Australia.

The belief that women are prohibited from playing is widespread among non-Aboriginal people and is also common among Aboriginal communities in Southern Australia ; some ethnomusicologists believe that the dissemination of the Taboo belief and other misconceptions is a result of commercial agendas and marketing.

Evidence for the fire hypothesis is the sudden increase in widespread ash deposits at the time that people arrived in Australia, as well as land-management and hunting practices of modern Aboriginal people as recorded by the earliest European settlers before Aboriginal society was devastated by European contact and disease.

Habitat is also preserved in the large Aboriginal local government area of Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara in South Australia and in the Great Victoria Desert Nature Reserve of Western Australia.

Many Native American languages and some languages in Africa and Aboriginal Australia simply do not have infinitives or verbal nouns.

* 1992 – Aboriginal Land Rights are granted in Australia in Mabo v Queensland ( No 2 ), a case brought by Eddie Mabo.

* 1869 – The Victorian Aboriginal Protection Act is enacted in Australia, giving the government control of indigenous people's wages, their terms of employment, where they could live, and of their children, effectively leading to the Stolen Generations.

* The now deceased Murador Aboriginal tribe of Western Australia celebrated New Years on what is known on present day calendars to be the 30 October.

The protection was done through each jurisdiction's Aboriginal Protection Board ; in Victoria and Western Australia these boards were also responsible for applying what were known as Half-caste acts.

Examples of such institutions include Moore River Native Settlement in Western Australia, Doomadgee Aboriginal Mission in Queensland, Ebenezer Mission in Victoria and Wellington Valley Mission in New South Wales.

He served as the director of the Northern Australia Legal Aid Service and established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander centres at the Australian National University, University of Canberra and University of Wollongong.

The longest standing group for lesbian and gay Christians in the UK, founded in 1976, is the non-denominational Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement ; specifically aimed to meet the needs of lesbian and gay evangelicals, there is the Evangelical Fellowship for Lesbian and Gay Christians ; specifically working within the Church of England is Changing Attitude, which also takes an international focus in working for gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender affirmation within the Anglican Communion.

The seceding Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship also considers itself a Methodist church.

This gave recognition to the Hungarian Methodist Church and to two other Methodist-derived denominations – the Salvation Army, which was banned in Hungary in 1949 but returned in 1990, and currently has four congregations, and the Church of the Nazarene, which entered Hungary in 1996 – but not to the Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship.

The Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship also has a publishing arm.

In addition, it voted to seek observer status in the National Association of Evangelicals and in the World Evangelical Fellowship.

The Congregational Christian Churches in Canada ( or 4Cs ) is an evangelical, Protestant, Christian denomination, headquartered in Brantford, Ontario, and a member of the World Evangelical Congregational Fellowship.

These are the Congregational Federation, which has offices in Nottingham, the Evangelical Fellowship of Congregational Churches, and about 100 Congregational churches that are loosely federated with other congregations in the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, or are unaffiliated.

The Church of the Nazarene is currently a member of the Christian Holiness Partnership, the Global Wesleyan Alliance, the National Association of Evangelicals, the World Methodist Council, Mission Exchange ( formerly the Evangelical Fellowship of Missions Agencies ), the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, the Wesleyan Holiness Consortium, and the Wesleyan Holiness Study Project.

However, Vinay Samuel, executive director of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Mission Theologians, is critical of these numbers.
