* May 3 – The Aleph Zadik Aleph, the oldest Jewish youth fraternity, is founded in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Aleph Zadik Aleph chapter located in Chicago's South Suburbs, ( primarily in Flossmoor, Homewood, and Olympia Fields ), is named in his honor and memory.

The new organization was called Aleph Zadik Aleph in imitation of the Greek-letter fraternities from which Jewish youth were excluded.

In 1924, the Aleph Zadik Aleph for Young Men, now an international Jewish fraternity, was formed according to Beber's plan, with the Omaha and Kansas City chapters receiving the first two charters.
