Festival Place is a shopping centre in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England which opened on Tuesday, 22 October 2002.

The area of Basingstoke which Festival Place now stands on was cleared in the 1960s where a large concrete shopping centre was built.

He had many books published, including: Of Period and Place, a book of poetry ( 1944 ); Indian Summer ( 1946 ); Concerning Cricket ( 1949 ); Maurice Tate ( 1951 ); Test Match Diary ( 1953 ); Vintage Summer ( 1967 ); Fred-Portrait of a Fast Bowler ( 1971 ); A Hundred Years of County Cricket ( 1973 ); John Arlott's book of cricketers ( 1979 ); Jack Hobbs: Profile of the Master ( 1981 ) and Basingstoke Boy: The Autobiography ( 1989 ).

They have entered two plays into the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D. C .. Their 2007 show, For Boston, won " Best Comedy ", and their second show, The Sticking Place, won " Best Overall " in 2008.

In 1998 she won acclaim and the Volpi Cup at the Venice Film Festival for her performance in Place Vendôme.

In 1990, the band performed at The Cornerstone Festival in drag, belting out covers like " I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar ", The Animals ' " We've Got To Get Out Of This Place ", The Beatles ' " I Want to Hold Your Hand ", and Louis Armstrong's " What a Wonderful World ".

Of the eight National Band Festivals attended by the bands, Charlotte has been awarded Superior ratings consistently and has received six National Festival First Place awards.

His humorous video clips for the likes of " Ding Dong, Ding Dong ", " True Love " and " Crackerbox Palace " were all shot within the gardens and grounds of Friar Park, as were the album covers for some of his FPSHOT-recorded Dark Horse acts − Splinter's The Place I Love and the Ravi Shankar's Music Festival from India album being the most obvious.

There is also the Carleton Place Dragon Boat Festival, Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum, and the Canada Veteran's Hall of Valour.

An episode of Top Gear was filmed in Festival Place in November 2008.

The first Fitzrovia Festival was held in 1973 with the theme “ The people live here !” in an effort to demonstrate that among the offices, restaurants and cafes there was a residential community that wanted its voice heard and in 1974, the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association was formed and raised money to create a neighbourhood centre in a disused glass shop on the corner of Tottenham Street and Goodge Place: The Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Centre was opened in 1975.

Mohammed Al-Senan is the first Arab composer who won the 1st Place World Wide Award in the first Children International Nile Song Festival which was held in Cairo in September 1998, for his song " I Love You Mom ".

For many years, the Nice Jazz Festival was held on the grounds of the Roman Ruins in July each year ( since 2011 the festival moved to the Place Masséna ).

The Swingle Singers are curators of the London A Cappella Festival, based at Kings Place, near Kings Cross.

He directed four short movies which are, L-Ittra ( The Letter ) ( 2002 )-for which he wrote the original theme score as well, Dilemma ( 2003 ) which won Certificate of Merit – MACC 2003 & 2004, Is-Siġġu ta-Roti ( The Wheelchair ) ( 2004 ) and Self Flattery ( 2005 ), which both won 3rd Place in Best Production at the National MACC Awards Film Festival.

Sharing the village's name is No Place, an independently produced feature film made in the North East of England and shown at the Cannes Film Festival, subsequently leading to limited distribution at the Tyneside Cinema.

On a recent tour to Anaheim, Concert Choir received 1 Gold ( 1st place ) & 1 Silver ( 2nd Place ) and Singers received 1 silver when they competed in the Heritage Festival in Anaheim.
