The Jacksons ( previously The Jackson 5 ) did many disco songs from 1975 to 1980, including " Shake Your Body ( Down to the Ground )" ( 1978 ), " Blame it on the Boogie " ( 1978 ), and " Can You Feel It " ( 1980 )— all sung by Michael Jackson, whose 1979 solo album, Off the Wall, included several disco hits, including the album's title song, " Rock with You ", " Workin ' Day and Night ", and his second chart-topping solo hit in the disco genre, " Don't Stop ' til You Get Enough ".

The soundtrack consisted of several standards, including " It Had to Be You ", " Let's Call the Whole Thing Off " and " Don't Get Around Much Anymore ", and achieved double-platinum status in the United States.

On 11 April 1969, Apple Records released " Get Back " as a single in the United Kingdom, paired with " Don't Let Me Down " on the B-Side.

" Get Back / Don't Let Me Down " was released in the United States on 5 May.

FanMail was another success for TLC, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart and selling over 6 million copies in the U. S. The album featured the number-one hit " No Scrubs ", produced by Kevin " She ' kspere " Briggs, and the single " Unpretty ", an alternative rock-styled song about self-love written by Watkins and Dallas Austin ( another version of it sampled Dennis Edwards ' 1984 hit " Don't Look Any Further "), that also reached # 1 on the Billboard chart.
