Simultaneously, the genre was receiving extensive coverage in music magazines such as The Wire and online publications such as Pitchfork Media, with a regular feature entitled The Month In: Grime / Dubstep.

Interest in dubstep grew significantly after BBC Radio 1 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs started championing the genre, beginning with a show devoted to it ( entitled " Dubstep Warz ") in January 2006.

In 2010, GLC released a remix album and a new LP called The Mix Tape Two and, in December 2010, they released a Christmas LP called It's a Goldie Lookin Christmas ( The Fairytale of Newport ), featuring 12 tracks including " Dubstep Christmas " and " You'll Never Be Alone On Christmas Day ".

" Frühlingsrauschen " (" Rustle of Spring ") was quoted by Meredith Willson in his musical The Music Man, was one of the main themes of Dennis Potter's 1986 miniseries The Singing Detective, and was sampled by hip-hop producer 4th Disciple on Killarmy's track " Wu-Renegades.

In 2006 Paul Bernard ( Sleire ), Norwegian rapper, hip-hop artist & producer, sampled the band's song " Jolekveld " and the collaboration " Depend " was released under the banner Paul Bernard feat.

* In 2006, hip hop producer J Dilla sampled the song on his track, " Time-Donut of the Heart ", on his critically acclaimed album, Donuts.

This music was then, sampled by House producer Gusto, in his 1995 hit-single " Disco's Revenge ".

In 1995 producer T-Ray sampled Axelrod's " A Divine Image " for Kool G. Rap's " Take ' Em To War " from his 4, 5, 6 album.

American hip hop duo Madvillain, a group consisting of MF DOOM ( MC ) and Madlib ( producer ), sampled " Funny Ways " on " Strange Ways " from their album Madvillainy and was subsequently featured in an episode of the animated television show The Boondocks.
