Elanor Gardner, also known as Elanor the Fair, is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional Middle-earth legendarium.

In Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, a six-year old Elanor was played by Alexandra Astin, real-life daughter of Sean Astin, the actor who played Samwise.

Tolkien called Sam the " chief hero " of the saga in one of his letters: he places special emphasis on Sam's " rustic love " for Rosie, a union that serves to establish a family in which allusions to Elvish wonders ( embodied in Sam's daughter Elanor ) are combined with the best qualities of traditional Shire-life.

Now heir to all of Frodo's possessions, Sam is greeted by Rosie and his daughter Elanor and delivers his final spoken words of the book: " Well, I'm back.

His daughter Elanor became one of Arwen's handmaidens.

She plays his onscreen daughter, Elanor Gamgee, that runs out to him as he returns from saying goodbye to Frodo, Bilbo and Gandalf.

In time, the volumes are left in the care of Sam's eldest daughter, Elanor Fairbairn, and her descendants ( the Fairbairns of the Towers or Wardens of Westmarch ).

Elanor was the only one of Samwise's children known to the Ring-bearer, Frodo Baggins, and her name was a suggestion by him, a reference to the sun-star, a little golden flower blooming in the land of Lothlórien.

The band was founded in Liverpool in 1980 when bassist Chris Layhe ( who had been in a couple of local rock bands including Elanor and Blind Owl ) answered an advertisement for a musical collaborator placed by 20 year old Ian McNabb.

After the death of his wife in the year 62 of the Fourth Age ( Shire Reckoning 1482 ), Sam entrusted the Red Book to Elanor and left the Shire at the age of 102.

He was not seen again in Middle-earth, but Elanor and her descendants preserved the tradition that he went to the Grey Havens and sailed into the West.

The name was quite suitable, as Elanor had a notably elvish appearance, including golden hair — an extremely rare trait among hobbits.

In 1436 Elanor became a maid of honour to Queen Arwen Evenstar, and in 1451 she married Fastred of Greenholm.

Elanor and her husband then moved to the Undertowers on the Tower Hills where their family ( becoming known as the Fairbairns of the Towers ) would live for many generations.

After her father's passing to the Undying Lands in 1482, Elanor and her line became the keepers of the Red Book of Westmarch.

In that epilogue we see Elanor talk with her father about the importance of the events that transpired in the story and also about the coming of King Elessar and Queen Arwen for a visit.

Samwise Gamgee, later known as Samwise Gardner and commonly as Sam, is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium.

Sam was elected Mayor of the Shire for seven consecutive seven-year terms and came to be known as Samwise Gardner.

Howerd played a slave, Lurcio ( pronounced Lurk-io ); the other main characters were Lurcio's bumbling old master, Senator Ludicrus Sextus ( initially Max Adrian and then Wallas Eaton ), the senator's promiscuous wife Ammonia ( Elizabeth Larner ), his daughter Erotica ( Georgina Moon ) and his eternally virginal son Nausius ( Kerry Gardner ), along with the Cassandra-esque Senna the Soothsayer ( Jeanne Mockford ) and Plautus ( Willie Rushton ).

Later, the John Gardner Bond novel, For Special Services introduces a revived SPECTRE led by Blofeld's daughter, Nena Bismaquer.

In the John Gardner novel For Special Services, Blofeld is depicted as having had a daughter, Nena, with a French mistress.

He married Alathea Gardner, the second daughter of Lord Burghclere.

A self-proclaimed " very difficult man ," Shaw was married eight times: Jane Cairns ( 1932 – 33 ; annulled ); Margaret Allen ( 1934 – 37 ; divorced ); actress Lana Turner ( 1940 ; divorced ); Betty Kern ( 1942 – 43 ; divorced ), the daughter of songwriter Jerome Kern ; actress Ava Gardner ( 1945 – 46 ; divorced ); Forever Amber author Kathleen Winsor ( 1946 – 48 ; annulled ); actress Doris Dowling ( 1952 – 56 ; divorced ); and actress Evelyn Keyes ( 1957 – 85 ; divorced ).

After John Gardner took over writing the James Bond novel series, Leiter made an occasional appearance and the novel For Special Services introduces his daughter, Cedar Leiter, who is also a CIA officer ( and briefly Bond's romantic conquest ).

He married Mina Gardner, daughter of Richard Gardner and Lucy Mandesloh, on 25 June 1878 at London, England.

After Sha're's death, Daniel is briefly drawn to Ke ' ra ( who turns out to be Linea, the Destroyer of Worlds ) in " Past and Present "; encounters his old girlfriend, Sarah Gardner, between seasons 4 and 7 ; meets Leda in " Icon " who develops feelings for him, although circumstances prevent anything coming of it ; has a love-hate relationship with Vala Mal Doran between seasons 8 and 10 and beyond ; and Vala's daughter, the Orici Adria, develops an attraction to Daniel while attempting to convert him to the path of Origin during season 10.

Draper's mother was Antonia Coetana de Paiva Pereira Gardner, daughter of the personal physician to the Emperor of Brazil.

Gardner was the daughter of an ocean going sea captain and born aboard the " J. H.

On September 13, 1831, John William Draper married Antonia Coetana de Paiva Pereira Gardner ( c. 1814 – 1870 ), the daughter of Daniel Gardner, a court physician to John VI of Portugal and Charlotte of Spain.

Gardner also had another daughter, Miranda, the result of a long affair with Susan Wright, former PA to Peter Sellers.

During season two it becomes apparent that Julie's husband Caleb has a sixteen year-old daughter, Lindsay Gardner, from a previous affair.
