The area is the location of many Irish cultural institutions, including the Irish Photography Centre ( incorporating the Dublin Institute of Photography, the National Photographic Archives and the Gallery of Photography ), the Ark Children's Cultural Centre, the Irish Film Institute, incorporating the Irish Film Archive, the Temple Bar Music Centre, the Arthouse Multimedia Centre, Temple Bar Gallery and Studio, the Project Arts Centre, the Gaiety School of Acting, IBAT College Dublin, as well as the Irish Stock Exchange and the Central Bank of Ireland.

Her works are held in numerous museum collections including the Museum of Contemporary Photography, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Dayton Art Institute.

Formally known as " Brooks Institute of Photography ," Brooks Institute offers four majors, two certificate programs and two graduate programs.

Brooks Institute of Photography was founded in 1945 by Ernest H. Brooks, Sr. over a bakery on State Street in Santa Barbara, California.

This served as the home of Brooks Institute of Photography, as well as for Ernest H. Brooks, Sr .' s growing family.

In 2007, the school changed its name from Brooks Institute of Photography to Brooks Institute.

In July 2005, the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education ( BPPVE ) accused Brooks Institute of Photography and its parent corporation Career Education Corporation of persuading prospective students to enroll by " willfully misleading " them, " falsifying and omitting critical information.
