Hegyvidék is said to be the lung of Budapest, as it gives place to many of the untouched green forests of the city and it also houses the highest hill of the entire urban area, János hegy ( 527 m above sea level ).

Murad II won the Battle of Varna in 1444 against János Hunyadi.

On 10 November 1444, Murad II defeated the Hungarian, Polish and Wallachian armies under Władysław III of Poland ( also King of Hungary ) and János Hunyadi at the Battle of Varna, which was the final battle of the Crusade of Varna.
