In the video for the Neon Lights single " Dancing Barefoot ", the band consisted of Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill, Gordon Goudie and Mark Kerr.

Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill also played a number of unrelated shows across Europe with Night of the Proms prior to those UK dates.

Jim Kerr suggested that Simple Minds had enough material from the Graffiti Soul recording sessions for two albums, one to be released at the start of 2009 and the second following within the space of a year.

Interspersed with Simple Minds activity, Jim Kerr recorded and released his first solo album Lostboy!

MacNeil has subsequently mentioned that “ Jim ( Kerr ) had already started talking about making changes ” and the credits for the album suggested that Simple Minds had officially become a trio of the only three remaining founder members-Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill and Mick MacNeil.

Other Minds is a San Francisco based private 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) not-for-profit organization, founded in 1992 by Charles Amirkhanian ( who serves as Executive and Artistic Director ) and Jim Newman ( President Emeritus ).

The name " Other Minds " has been attributed by Jim Newman to an anonymous obituary that ran in the New Yorker in 1992 which stated that John Cage "... composed music in other people's minds.
