Famous photographer Dorothea Lange took many pictures of the houses for her work for the Farm Security Administration.

Dorothea Lange and Minor White joined as well.

In 1946, Ansel Adams and Minor White established the first fine art photography department in the U. S., with Imogen Cunningham, Edward Weston, and Dorothea Lange among its instructors.

Adams attracted fine photographers for the original faculty, including Dorothea Lange, Imogen Cunningham, and Minor White, and Morley Baer, who became Head of the Department after White's departure in 1953.

As a member of the FSA group, Shahn roamed and documented the American south together with his colleagues Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange.

Hohman's best known work is the collection of prayers and recipes for folk-healing titled Pow-Wows, or the Long Lost Friend, published in German in 1820 as Der Lange Verborgene Freund ( The Long-Hidden Friend ) and in two English translations — the first in 1846 in a rather crude translation by Hohman himself (" The Long Secreted Friend or a True and Christian Information for Every Body ") and the second in 1856 by a different and more fluent translator (" The Long Lost Friend ; a Collection of Mysterious and Invaluable Arts and Remedies for Man as well as Animals ").

Giving her the appellation of Mademoiselle Lange, Du Barry helped establish Jeanne's career as a courtesan in the highest circles of Parisian society ; this enabled her to take several aristocratic men as brief lovers or clients.

Like other hosts of the day, Trebek made several guest appearances as panelist or player on other shows ; one of his guest appearances was on a special week of NBC's Card Sharks, in 1980, where he and several other game show hosts ( including Allen Ludden, Bill Cullen, Wink Martindale, Jack Clark, Gene Rayburn, and Jim Lange ) competed in a week-long round robin tournament for charity.

Lange was said to be killed in action in Posen, Warthegau in February 1945 ; he may have committed suicide, but records are unclear.

Her father, John George Lange ( 1885 – 1942 ), was a cellist and the music arranger for Florenz Ziegfeld and conductor for Henry Cohen ; her mother, Minette ( née Buddecke ) ( 1898 – 1970 ), was an actress.

While attending high school ; Lange studied dance, modeled, and worked in the family restaurant.

Serra was honored with further solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Tübingen, Germany, in 1978 ; the Musée National d ' Art Moderne, Paris, in 1984 ; the Museum Haus Lange, Krefeld, Germany, in 1985 ; and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 1986.
