Alfonso had been in love with a woman of noble family named Lucrezia d ' Alagno, who served as a de facto queen at the Neapolitan court as well as an inspiring muse.

On 26 February 1491, a matrimonial arrangement was drawn up between Lucrezia and the Lord of Val D ' Ayora in the kingdom of Valencia, Don Cherubino Joan de Centelles, which was annulled less than two months later in favour of a new contract engaging Lucrezia to Don Gaspare Aversa, count of Procida.

Shortly after Felice was born, Julius II arranged for Lucrezia to marry Bernardino de Cupis.

He was born in Florence: his mother, Francesca Salviati, was a daughter of Jacopo Salviati and Lucrezia de ' Medici, a sister of Leo X, while his father, Ottaviano, was a more distant scion of the Medici family.

Giuliano de ' Medici ( 1453 – April 26, 1478 ) was the second son of Piero de ' Medici ( the Gouty ) and Lucrezia Tornabuoni.

She bore him two sons, Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar Mendoza, who was once selected to be the husband of Lucrezia Borgia, and another, who was named Diego Hurtado de Mendoza, 1st Count of Melito in Italy, not to be confounded with other people mentioned also above and who was the grandfather of the princess of Eboli of the reign of Philip II of Spain ( see Antonio Perez ).

The poem is preceded by the word Ferrara :, indicating that the speaker is most likely Alfonso II d ' Este, the fifth Duke of Ferrara ( 1533 – 1598 ) who, at the age of 25, married Lucrezia di Cosimo de ' Medici, 14-year-old daughter of Cosimo I de ' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany, and Eleonora di Toledo.

He married Maria Salviati ( 17 July 1499-29 December 1543 ), the daughter of Jacopo Salviati and Lucrezia di Lorenzo de ' Medici.

The historical Imperia was a well-educated Italian courtesan named Lucrezia de Paris who was born 1485 in Ferrara, well after the council, and never visited Konstanz.

Both he and his siblings are sent to live with Adriana de Mila, the ( step ) mother-in-law of the Cardinal's new mistress ( Giulia Farnese ), who makes both Cesare and Lucrezia unhappy.

His son Alfonso II first married Lucrezia, daughter of grand-duke Cosimo I of Tuscany, then after becoming a widower, Barbara, the sister of Maximilian II, Holy Roman Emperor ( 1527 – 1576 ) and finally a third wife, Margherita Gonzaga, daughter of the duke of Mantua.

Caterina Sforza, Countess of Forlì ( early 1463 – 28 May 1509 ) was an Italian noblewoman, the illegitimate daughter of Galeazzo Maria Sforza, Duke of Milan and Lucrezia Landriani, the wife of the courtier Gian Piero Landriani, a close friend of the Duke.

He was the brother of Lucrezia Borgia ; Giovanni Borgia ( Juan ), Duke of Gandia ; and Gioffre Borgia ( Jofré in Catalan ), Prince of Squillace.

Lucrezia was married to Giovanni Sforza ( Lord of Pesaro ), Alfonso of Aragon ( Duke of Bisceglie ), and Alfonso I d ' Este ( Duke of Ferrara ).

Born Filippo Lippi in Prato ( Tuscany ), the illegitimate son of the painter Fra Filippo Lippi and Lucrezia Buti, Filippino first trained under his father.

Noted soprano interpreters of Mignon have included Emma Albani ( Covent Garden's first Mignon in 1874 ), Lucrezia Bori, and Geraldine Farrar ; mezzo-sopranos have included Marilyn Horne, Giulietta Simionato, Frederica von Stade, Risë Stevens, and Ebe Stignani.

Gioffre Borgia ( 1482-1516 ), son of Pope Alexander VI and younger brother of Cesare Borgia and Lucrezia Borgia, married Sancia ( Sancha ) of Aragon, daughter of Alfonso II of Naples, obtaining as dowry both the Principality of Squillace ( 1494 ) and the Duchy of Alvito ( 1497 ).

Before long, other statues appeared on the scene, forming a kind of public salon or academy, the " Congress of the Wits " ( Congresso degli Arguti ), with Pasquino always the leader, and the sculptures that Romans called Marphurius, Abbot Luigi, Il Facchino, Madama Lucrezia, and Il Babbuino as his outspoken colleagues.

Taddeo's older son Carlo Barberini was made a cardinal by Pope Innocent X. Taddeo's daughter, Lucrezia Barberini, married Francesco I d ' Este, Duke of Modena ( who had previously sided with the Farnese during the First War of Castro ), further stabilizing relations.
