Travers, and also has a prominent role in the song " Jolly Holiday " in the stage musical of Mary Poppins.

Among them are Leonard Bernstein ( in the 1950s ), Comedian Michael Ian Black, Daryl Hall ( of Hall & Oates ), Jascha Heifetz ( in the 1940s ), Charles Ives, Hope Lange, film director Barry Levinson ( a current resident ), rock singer Meat Loaf ( Marvin Lee Aday who was Joel Barlow High School softball coach while his daughters attended the school during the 1990s ), actress Jessica Tandy and her husband Hume Cronyn ( in the 1940s and 1950s ) and Mary Travers, of Peter, Paul and Mary.

Five months later, Walt Disney Feature Animation released a special DVD The Cat That Looked at a King, with Sarah's voice in the role of the Queen ; the story is derived from the Mary Poppins books by P. L. Travers.

In 1961, Yarrow joined Paul Stookey and Mary Travers to form Peter, Paul and Mary.

William Wilde was knighted in January 1864, but the family celebrations were short-lived, for in the same year Sir William and Lady Wilde were at the centre of a sensational Dublin court case regarding a young woman called Mary Travers, the daughter of a colleague of Sir William's, who claimed that he had seduced her and who then brought an action against Lady Wilde for libel.

Mary Travers won the case and costs of £ 2, 000 were awarded against Lady Wilde.

Since the death of Mary Travers, he has continued to work as a solo singer and activist.
