4hero's fourth album Creating Patterns ( 2001 ) featured another Ursula Rucker collaboration, an appearance from Jill Scott, and a cover of Minnie Riperton's classic 1970s song Les Fleur with Carina Andersson as the lead vocalist.

After a recording session with John Peel later that year, The Orb released the twenty-minute " A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules from the Centre of the Ultraworld ", which featured " bright, translucent sounds " and " tinkl " keyboards, as well as heavily sampling Minnie Riperton's " Lovin ' You ".

The album also featured a cover of Minnie Riperton's 1974 hit " Lovin ' You ," a rendition that brought attention to her five-octave vocal range.

She also appeared on the hit UPN show Girlfriends, singing Minnie Riperton's Lovin ' You.

Mickey's Revue is a 1932 Walt Disney cartoon, directed by Wilfred Jackson, which features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow performing a song and dance show.

In the 1947 film Hi De Ho, Calloway includes the following lines in his song " Minnie the Moocher ": " Woe there ain't no more Smokey Joe / She's fluffed off his hi-de-ho / She's a solid jitterbug / And she starts to cut a rug / Oh Minnie's a hep cat now.
