Ootacamund () ( officially, Udhagamandalam sometimes abbreviated to Udhagai or Ooty ), is a town, a municipality and the district capital of the Nilgiris district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The Government Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden in Udhagamandalam ( Ooty ), Tamil Nadu state, India laid out in 1847.
