The group consisted of Peter Murphy ( vocals ), Daniel Ash ( guitar ), Kevin Haskins ( drums ), and David J ( bass guitar ).
Peter Murphy began a solo career while the other members continued as Tones on Tail and, later, Love and Rockets.
However, The Craze still split up fairly quickly, and Ash once again tried to convince his old school friend Peter Murphy to join him, simply because Ash thought he had the right look for a band.
Prior to the recording of their fourth album Burning from the Inside ( 1983 ) Peter Murphy was stricken with pneumonia, which prevented him from contributing much to the album.
