The Obama Administration proposed a revision of Constellation in 2010 to focus on the development of the capability for crewed missions beyond low earth orbit ( LEO ), envisioning extending the operation of the ISS beyond 2020, transferring the development of launch vehicles for human crews from NASA to the private sector, and developing technology to enable missions to beyond LEO, such as Earth / Moon L1, the Moon, Earth / Sun L2, near-earth asteroids, and Phobos or Mars orbit.

Aphrodite, who married Hephaistos, nevertheless had an affair with Ares to have Eros ( Love ), Phobos ( Fear ), Deimos ( Cowardice ), and Harmonia ( Harmony ), who would later marry Cadmus to sire Ino ( who with her son, Melicertes would become a sea deity ), Semele ( Mother of Dionysos ), Autonoë ( Mother of Actaeon ), Polydorus, and Agave ( Mother of Pentheus ).

The names, originally spelled Phobus and Deimus respectively, were suggested by Henry Madan ( 1838 – 1901 ), Science Master of Eton, based on Book XV of the Iliad, in which the god Ares summons Dread ( Deimos ) and Fear ( Phobos ).

A series of exchanges sees the cutting of the space elevator, bombardment of several Martian cities ( including the city where Bogdanov is himself organizing the rebellion ; he is killed ), the destruction of Phobos and its military complex, and the unleashing of great flood of torrential groundwater freed by nuclear detonations.

A few planetesimals may have been captured as moons, such as Phobos and Deimos ( the moons of Mars ), and many of the small high-inclination moons of the Jovian planets.

Falconer Madan's brother, Henry Madan ( 1838 – 1901 ), Science Master of Eton, had in 1878 suggested the names Phobos and Deimos for the moons of Mars.

Among these combatants are some characters either drawn from or based on those in Doom ( Doomguy, Crash, Phobos ), Quake ( Ranger, Wrack ) and Quake II ( Bitterman, Tank Jr., Grunt, Major, Visor ).

Barry E. DiGregorio, Director of the International Committee Against Mars Sample Return ( ICAMSR ), criticised the LIFE experiment carried by Fobos-Grunt as a violation of the Outer Space Treaty due to the possibility of contamination of Phobos or Mars with the microbial spores and live bacteria it contains should it have lost control and crash-landed on either body.

The result was the rise of Thanatos ( Freud's death drive ), and Phobos ( existential fear ), which are the respective pathological versions of Agape and Eros.

Deimos, " Terror " or " Dread ", and Phobos, " Fear ", are his companions in war and also his children, borne by Aphrodite, according to Hesiod.

The Martian space marine base acts as security for the Union Aerospace Corporation, a multi-planetary conglomerate, which is performing secret experiments with teleportation by creating gateways between the two moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos.

The manual makes it clear that Phobos is considered by space marines to be the dullest assignment imaginable: " with no action for fifty million miles, your day consisted of suckin ' dust and watchin ' restricted flicks in the rec room.

In 1960, Singer commented in an article in Astronautics on the hypothesis of Iosif Shklovsky ( later mentioned in a 1966 book by Carl Sagan and Shklovsky ) that the orbit of the Martian moon Phobos suggests that it is hollow, which implies it is of artificial origin.

Roger also visits Space Quest X: Latex Babes of Estros ( whose title is a parody of Infocom's game Leather Goddesses of Phobos ) and Space Quest I ; in the latter, the graphics and music revert to the style of the original game and Roger is threatened by a group of monochromatic bikers who consider Roger's 256 colors pretentious ( or comment on other graphics modes if played in EGA or Monochrome ).

Phobos was discovered by astronomer Asaph Hall on August 18, 1877, at the United States Naval Observatory in Washington, D. C., at about 09: 14 Greenwich Mean Time ( contemporary sources, using the pre-1925 astronomical convention that began the day at noon, give the time of discovery as August 17 at 16: 06 Washington mean time ).

Faint dust rings produced by Phobos and Deimos have long been predicted but attempts to observe these rings have, to date, failed.

Recent images from Mars Global Surveyor indicate that Phobos is covered with a layer of fine-grained regolith at least 100 meters thick ; it is hypothesized to have been created by impacts from other bodies, but it is not known how the material stuck to an object with almost no gravity.

Although the studio version of Freudiana was produced by Parsons ( and featured the regular Project backing musicians, making it an ' unofficial ' Project album ), it was primarily Woolfson's idea to turn it into a musical.

In 1981, Parsons, Woolfson and their record label Arista, were stalled in contract renegotiations when on 5 March the two submitted an all-instrumental atonal album tentatively titled ' The Sicilian Defence ' ( the name of an aggressive opening move in chess ), arguably to get out of their recording contract.
