The church of the Assumption, with a marble portal from 1548, has a Renaissance style interior.

* Santa Maria in Campagna, a Renaissance church, faces Piazzale delle Crociate (" Crusades Square "), so called because Pope Urban II summoned the First Crusade here in 1095.

Around the square are arranged three remarkable buildings: the town hall, built in 1568 by the Catholic Monarchs in Renaissance style, the Mayor's house, which combines Gothic and Renaissance elements in its façade, with a roof of Mudejar style and fresco murals inside, and the Chapel of Santiago, the oldest religious building in the city, built earlier than the square and not aligned with it, believed to date from the 15th century.

The Hospital de Santiago, designed by Vandelvira in the late 16th century, with its square bell towers and graceful Renaissance courtyard, is now the home of the town's Conference Hall.

Notable are the parts, still largely roofed, built by the Earls of Morton, with refined Renaissance detail, in the second half of the 16th century.

The present main structure was designed in French Renaissance Revival style and built of red brick with limestone trim.

As well as the Hall, Waterhouse built a new range of rooms, Red Buildings ( 1871 – 2 ), in French Renaissance style, designed a new Master's Lodge on the site of Paschal Yard ( 1873, later to become N staircase ), pulled down the old Lodge and the south range of Old Court to open a vista to the Chapel, and finally built a new Library ( 1877 – 8 ) in the continental Gothic style.

He built 12 churches for Ivan III, including the Cathedral of the Archangel, a building remarkable for the successful blending of Russian tradition, Orthodox requirements and Renaissance style.

The building was built in 1883 in Renaissance style.

However, Egas was relieved by the Catholic hierarchy in 1529, and the continuation of the work was assigned to Diego Siloe, who built upon the example of his predecessor, but changed the approach towards a fully Renaissance aesthetic.

* Piazza Duomo, on the side of the Cathedral, with frescoed Renaissance buildings and the Late Baroque Fountain of Neptune ( Fontana di Nettuno ) built in 1767-1768.

* Palazzo delle Albere, a Renaissance villa next to the Adige river built around 1550 by the Madruzzo family, now hosting a modern art museum.

Some other interesting buildings are the town hall ( Stadhuis ), a 16th-century building that was badly damaged by a fire in 1929 but has its Renaissance façade designed by Lieven de Key still standing ; the Gemeenlandshuis van Rijnland ( 1596, restored in 1878 ); De Waag ( weigh house in Dutch ), built by Pieter Post ; the former court-house ( Gerecht ); a corn-grinding windmill, now home to a museum ( Molen de Valk ) ( 1743 ); the old gymnasium ( Latijnse School ) ( 1599 ) and the city carpenter's yard and wharf ( Stadstimmerwerf ) ( 1612 ), both built by Lieven de Key ( c. 1560 – 1627 ).

The whole building was built in a famboyant style into which the first decorative elements typical of the Renaissance style right at the beginning of the 16th century had been incorporated.

The National Archaeological Museum ( Museo Archeologico Nazionale ) is housed in the Palazzo Ferretti, built in the late Renaissance by Pellegrino Tibaldi ; it preserves frescoes by Federico Zuccari.

Some buildings are built in a mixture of different styles, including Art Nouveau, Renaissance and Classicist.

He had Schloss Ambras built and arranged there his unique Renaissance collections nowadays mainly part of Vienna's Kunsthistorisches Museum.

The Auberge de Provence is another of Cassar's masterpieces of Renaissance architecture, built between 1571-75.
