Andersson met Björn Ulvaeus in June 1966, and the two started writing songs together, their first being " Isn't It Easy To Say ", eventually recorded by The Hep Stars.

His film roles were more sparse but still memorable ; these included the part of a minor league baseball radio announcer in the film, A League of Their Own and a bit part of the minister officiating the marriage ceremony in Say It Isn't So.

The 2001 comedy film, Say It Isn't So, which stars Chris Klein and Heather Graham, begins with Graham's character who is employed at an animal shelter in Shelbyville.

The first single released from this album " Say It Isn't So " battled six weeks for the Number 1 spot with Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson's " Say Say Say " at the peak of Thriller mania.

" Say It Isn't So " remained at Number 2 for an impressive four weeks from December 1983 to January 1984.

The battle with the McCartney / Jackson single led disc jockey Peter Bush of New York's WPLJ Radio, which had just switched from rock to Top 40 the previous June, to intro the Hall & Oates entry " Say, Say, Say It Isn't, Isn't, Isn't So, So, So ".

His next single, " Say it Isn't So ", reached number four in late 2003, but proved to be Gates ' last single release in the UK until April 2007.

In 2000, LeBlanc starred in Bon Jovi's music video " Say It Isn't So ".

Isn't It Easy To Say ( Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus )

It features several songs written by Benny and " Isn't It Easy To Say ", the first joint composition by Benny and his new friend Björn Ulvaeus, then a member of the acoustic group Hootenanny Singers, who mainly sang in the Swedish language.

His follow-up album, New Teeth ( 1975 ), featured the comedian's on-stage work on tracks such as " Mother Isn't Always Right " and his juxtaposition of George Carlin's " Seven Words You Can't Say On Television, titled " Six Clean Words You Can Say Anywhere ", with studio recorded material such as " Continental Steel " and " On The Bayou ".

Hall & Oates ' chart success was at its highest when their singles got heavy airplay on urban contemporary radio, as was the case with I Can't Go for That ( No Can Do ), One on One, Say It Isn't So, Adult Education, Out of Touch, Method of Modern Love and Everything Your Heart Desires.

The photo on the left is of Courtney Love during her childhood in Oregon. Cobain's death also stirred controversy surrounding the final track on Live Through This — " Rock Star "— which contained lyrics that read: " How'd you like to be Nirvana ?/ So much fun to be Nirvana / A barrel of laughs to be Nirvana / Say you'd rather die ".

It would go on to become one of the most influential records of the 1990s spanning hits " Undone-The Sweater Song ", " Buddy Holly " and " Say It Ain't So ".

" So Sad to Say ", was released as a single, but it never reached a position higher than No. 22 on the Billboard charts.

Their mainstream success came with the release of the album Veni Vidi Vicious, featuring their most well-known song " Hate to Say I Told You So ".

The album yielded the singles " Hate to Say I Told You So ", " Main Offender ", " Die, All Right!

After seeing the video for " Hate to Say I Told You So " on German TV, Alan McGee ( Oasis, Creation Records ) decided to sign the band to his newly formed Poptones label.

Following the success of the album, the band re-released singles " Hate to Say I Told You So " and " Main Offender " which reach numbers No. 23 and No. 24 respectively in the UK Singles chart.
