Sargent continued to work in film and made numerous guest appearances on various television shows, including one episode of Three's Company, The Waltons, Charlie's Angels, Knots Landing, Family Ties and two episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard.

Under the name Lois Hamilton or Lois Areno, she appeared in several Hollywood films as well as on television shows including many popular series such as Card Sharks, The Dukes of Hazzard and Three's Company.

In Moonrunners — the precursor film to the Dukes of Hazzard — the character that would go on to be developed into Boss Hogg, was named Jake Rainey ( played by George Ellis ).

The Dukes of Hazzard follows the adventures of " The Duke Boys ", cousins Bo and Luke Duke, who live in a rural part of the fictional Hazzard County, Georgia with their attractive cousin Daisy and their wise old Uncle Jesse, as they race around in their customized 1969 Dodge Charger stock car, christened ( The ) General Lee, evading crooked county commissioner Boss Hogg and his inept county sheriff Rosco P.
